Mitch’s Weight Loss Journey at MCKG

We’re pleased to share Mitch’s weight loss journey, which has seen him lose over 3 stone in just over 18 months.

When Mitch started training with us, he weighed 16st 10lbs (106kg). Through attending MCKG twice a week, initially doing STX Kickboxing and BJJ classes, he then went on to attend our no-gi Combat Submission Wrestling classes and strength training (with kettlebells) as well.

Setting himself a goal to compete at Allstars BJJ competition in Manchester in April 2023, Mitch competed in both gi and no-gi divisions.

Upon the day of the competition, he had lost over 47lbs from the day he started his martial arts training at MCKG, now weighing 13st 5lbs (85kg).

Mitch’s dedication to his training has seen him achieve this impressive weight loss through martial arts in a healthy and fun way that also develops his physical skills, and is a journey he’s looking to continue.

Cannot recommend enough

Joined to loose weight after COVID Lockdown, dropped from 16st 10lb to 14st 7lb so far. Cannot recommend enough, Mel is great, the sessions are all great, and everyday is a school day. If I could give it more stars, I would.
