MCKG CSW students Ian McCluskey and Lee Johnson attended the Allstars BJJ Winter North Edition at Castle Leisure Centre in Bury on Sunday 5th February 2023 to compete against other grapplers from around the North West and the UK.
Ian entered both gi and no-gi divisions in his first ever competition. He showed great control and defence skills throughout the closely-contended matches. Ian walked away with two silver medals as a result of his efforts. A great debut!
Unfortunately, Lee’s opponent pulled out with an injury and therefore he was left without an opponent or match. We hope Lee gets the opportunity for another matchup soon.
