We’re excited to announce that Sensei Erik Paulson will be holding a no-gi grappling seminar at our gym, MCKG, in Wigan, Greater Manchester on Sunday 30th November 2025 (time to be confirmed).
This will be Sensei Erik’s ONLY North England seminar as part of his UK 2025 tour.
Erik Paulson is a former Shooto World Champion (the first American) and is known for being a submission specialist. He is also a 5th degree black belt in BJJ from Professor Rigan Machado and has also trained under greats such as Rick Faye, Larry Hartsell, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Yori Nakamura, Billy Robinson, and the legendary Guro Dan Inosanto. He first studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Rorio Gracie, Royce Gracie and Rickson Gracie in 1989. Erik is famous for his unbelievable repertoire of submission holds and is recognised as a virtual encyclopedia of leg locks.
He has coached numerous champions including Brock Lesnar, Cub Swanson, Josh Barnett, and most recently the BJJ phenoms turned ONE FC MMA stars, Kade and Tye Ruotolo.
As a level 3 instructor of Coach Erik, MCKG head instructor Mel Corrigan teaches his Combat Submission Wrestling, CSBJJ and STX Kickboxing systems during our weekday classes. Having Erik Paulson hold a seminar at our club is an exciting opportunity, for both our students and non-members across the UK and the globe, to be taught by one of the best grappling coaches in the world. if you’re looking to improve your grappling game, you won’t want to miss this!
Book your place on Erik Paulson’s seminar at MC Kali Group today to secure your spot. The early bird price is £85 per person for those purchasing before 31st October 2025. After that, the price will be £95 per person. If we do not sell out, we may accept walk-ins on the day at a pay-on-the-door price of £100, however this is not guaranteed and we may have to turn people away as space is limited. Therefore, to guarantee your place on the seminar, it’s highly recommended to book online ahead of time. Payment must be made by bank transfer.
This is not a gym exclusive seminar so grapplers from other clubs are most welcome to attend.
